Adult Bible Class meets Sunday mornings from 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 Noon
In John 14:15 Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commands.” In verse 21 He says again, “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” In John 15:10, Jesus said, “If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.”
In order to keep Jesus’ commandments it is important to know that they are. When we know what they are then we can focus our attention to obeying them. In the last part of The Great Commission, Jesus commanded his disciples (i.e., us!) that we must teach new disciples “to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:20). The purpose of this time is to learn the commands of Jesus as expressed in the Gospels (i.e., Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) and to encourage each other to keep them as we teach them to others.
